Winter has hit Durbs with a vengeance, and while most of us have the luxury of snuggling up in our wooly pj's under our feather duvets, there are hundreds of homeless men, woman and little children that are forced to sleep out in the cold.
Just over a year ago, a collection of blankets for charity was started by @melanieminnaar. Just over 700 blankets were brought in and distributed to various charities and organisations around South Africa, and thus the Twitter Blanket Drive or #TBD was born.
This year, let's team together and see if we can raise even more blankets for South African's in need of some warmth this winter.
There are three drop-off points in Durban this Saturday. The first is I Heart Market at the DLI Hall in Greyville, the second is Luna Rossa at Gateway and the third is Livingstone's Gastropub in Glenashley.
Please support this great cause and head on down to one of the two venues this weekend.
Visit the Twitter Blanket Drive website by clicking here.
If you are on Twitter, please spread the word to your followers and tag #TBD in your tweets. Much, much appreciated.
